LETTERS From Mrs E. G. Coburn, Newport:
WHAT a wonderful write up about Christ the King College, (CP, 28-09-12).
But there is another side to this school that never seems to occur to them — the residents of this area.
Yes, a lot of people voted for the college’s new buildings and the extension of the 'white tent’ but all of them were pupils, parents — no-one from this area. We were never consulted in any way or spoken to as the people it would really affect.
The noise from the 'tent’ is awful, parking is ridiculous and the children march up and down the road all day, only moving over on the pavements when shouted at by a teacher.
This school is a law unto itself and certainly not popular at all to anyone from here I’ve spoken to.
