Why no dentist at clinic?

LETTERS From V. Gibbins, East Cowes:

WHEN the new Health Clinic at East Cowes was designed, why did the brains behind it all decide we didn't need a dentist anymore?

My husband was using the dental clinic at York Avenue. He is 91 years old. He has now been told he has to go to Shanklin for treatment which is quite a walk from the bus stop.

Also why was the surgery put upstairs when its mostly elderly and disabled people who visit the doctors. Lifts breaking down, people getting wrong prescriptions. Are we to be afraid? I hope not.
