Harrow and Harrow Town face tough fourth round ties in the prestigious Evening Standard Challenge Trophy on Sunday.

The last time Harrow got this far was in 1995 when they eventually progressed to the final at The Oval, finishing on the losing end of a dead-heat to a Malden Wanderers side containing players of the calibre of Ben Hollioake and Alec Stewart's brother Neil.

Each side scored 188-6 off their 50 overs, but Malden won on account of a faster run-rate over the first 20 overs.

Ironically, Sunday sees a repeat of the 1995 final with Wanderers visiting Payne's Folly.

Harrow beat much-fancied Guildford, currently third in the Surrey Championship, in the previous round, and would love to gain revenge over Wanderers. Harrow Town have shown that they are capable of battling it out with the best at times this season, but have never got beyond the fourth round.

However, they impressed when they saw off Middlesex County League side Hornsey in the previous round, and hope to progress at the expense of Cheam when they travel there on Sunday.

It's local derby time on Saturday when old sparring partners Harrow and Bessborough meet in Thames Valley League action at Harrow's Payne's Folly.

Bessborough narrowly missed promotion last year, but have been struggling to find their true form this term. Harrow, with a win, four draws and only one defeat, will start favourites on their own track.
