LETTERS From Mr Ken Purser, Ryde:
SO WE have the opportunity to vote yet another bunch of amateur politicians into the created job of Crime and Police Commissioner on November 15.
Among the six candidates vociferous in their championing of law and order is one Michael Mates.
Is this the same Michael Mates that gave a watch inscribed "don’t let the buggers get you" to a certain Mr Asil Nadir, currently doing a ten stretch for the theft of £34 million? Or have I made a mistake?
Another letter on this topic in the Friday, November 2, County Press.
