EIGHT women in Gravesend got to grips with computers by taking advantage of a unique 10-week course.
The course, organised by North West Kent College, provided the lap tops and the IT instructor, while environmental charity Groundwork provided creche facilities. Despite many of them having no cyber experience, the women learnt to use Word, Excel and database systems, gaining a City & Guilds qualification.
Groundwork's community development worker David Evans said: "Everyone enjoyed the course and many hope to attend further courses."
