As well as a lively barn dance and exciting treasure hunt there was traditional Maypole dancing to celebrate the coming of spring.
Winterbourn Down Morris Dancers entertained with their lively dances and a clown was on hand to keep the children busy.
Stalls also packed the streets all selling goods to raise money for chosen charity Gambia and Avon Fire Services and Partnership scheme which aims to send fire engines to the African country.
Organiser Sue Cessford told the Gazette that villagers had been looking forward to the carnival and added: "It never seems to disappoint."
The money raised on the day has not yet been totalled.
