Over the years I have repaired and restored many different types of cars including Jaguar, Aston Martin, Austin and even Formula One Grand Prix racing cars.

"I can carry out all types of work including engine work, brakes and general maintenance and there are many Islanders who can now have work done on their classic vehicles without having to worry about taking them over to the mainland."

John Ellis has recently joined the team at Mill Road and has 30 years’ experience in the motor industry. "It’s great to be working at a local garage once again, after working for a franchised dealer for many years. I will overseeing the day-to-day running of the garage and also be taking a hands-on role on vehicle repairs and maintenance," he said.

Mill Road Garage owner Roger Moore, who has been in charge for ten years, said: "It’s great John has joined us to manage the day-to-day running of the garage and it will make us much stronger and enhance the business greatly.

"Mark has vast amount of knowledge about classic cars and knows them inside and out. We are effectively splitting the business in two, to focus on vehicle repairs of modern- day cars and classic cars. It is exciting times for us and we want to build on the high-quality service we provide."
