IT’S official — Island Skoda dealer F. H. Winter and Sons is one of the top Skoda retailers.
Ray Winter recently went to Skoda’s World Dealers’ Conference in the Czech Republic and was amazed to find his little garage on the Island was named among the top three in the manufacturer’s Retailer of the Year Awards.
He said: "We weren’t actually the winner and they don’t differentiate between second and third place but I was very pleased when I heard we were in the top three. It is nice to have your hard work recognised."
F. H. Winter and Sons was also praised because it has been named the dealership with the number one market share in UK, scoring an incredible 14 per cent.
Ray said although the Skoda brand is popular on the Island and F. H. Winter and Sons almost doubled its new car sales target last year, he had no idea they could have the best market share in the UK.
l During the dealers’ conference, more about the company’s plans in the next few months, and the new Skoda Superb Estate, were revealed.
F. H. Winter and Sons now has a new Skoda Superb Estate available at the garage in Havenstreet for test drives.
