Capital gig for Emily

MUSIC SINGER Emily McGregor will busk at the Olympic Games after winning a national competition.

Emily, 22, of Ryde, known as Emmy J Mac when she appeared on the BBC’s The Voice earlier this year, will busk in the Olympic Park after being chosen from hundreds of hopefuls.

She impressed after sending a music video to the judges.

Emily will perform throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

She said: "I feel very lucky to be involved.

"It is a one off and performing to lots of people will be a great experience."

Emily progressed to the head-to-head stage of The Voice but lost out to her opponent, Aleks Josh.

She recently returned to live on the Island.
