Festival spirit at Shanklin Theatre

The Bon Jovi Experience.

MUSIC GET into the summer festival spirit early as Bon Jovi come to Shanklin — almost.

The Bon Jovi Experience are the only tribute act to have shared a stage with Jon Bon Jovi and will be recreating the sound of the legendary rockers at Shanklin Theatre on Saturday, February 2.

Frontman Tony Pearce looks so similar to the original that he has been used as a decoy to distract screaming fans so Jon could sneak out the back door of a gig and Chad Kroeger, from the band Nickelback, reportedly said: "This man is so much like Jon Bon Jovi, it’s freaky, man."

Tony has been performing the music of Bon Jovi for more than 15 years and the band was recently invited to appear on Chris Evans’s radio show, after he said they were the best tribute he had ever seen.

• For more information about the gig, or to buy tickets, see: www.shanklintheatre.com or call 01983 868000.
