MUSICISLAND rock band BlackHawk have just returned from a mini tour of Lincolnshire, where they wowed audiences at four venues in two weeks.
The four-date WightNoise 2010 tour, which saw the band appear at two private functions and two of Lincolnshire’s best known live music venues, was so well received the band have already been courted for a return visit next year.
BlackHawk’s bassist, Doug Barber, said it all started one evening at Harry’s Bar, Shanklin, where they were playing.
He said: "Some people approached us during our break.
"They told us how much they liked our music and asked if we were prepared to travel to Lincoln to play at their daughter’s 21st birthday party.
"We said yes and, to cut a long story short, we ended up playing at two private functions and two other public venues, The King’s Head Hotel, Louth, and The Nag’s Head, Bardney."
• The band is playing at venues all over the Island and for more information visit www.blackhawkiow.co.uk.
