A flashback to last year’s party.
MUSIC THE COUNTDOWN has begun for one of the year’s biggest and most popular bashes — the Electric 80s New Year’s Party.
Electric 80s returns with another sell out expected at Cowes Yacht Haven on Monday, December 31.
Over the past three years, the event has sold out for 1,000 fancy dress-clad revellers, and organiser Steve Robson wants more of the same.
He said: "We have built a giant Big Ben the height of Cowes Yacht Haven to chime you in at midnight, followed by a huge pyrotechnics display — our biggest yet. It will be a fantastic experience.
"Cowes is a great place to go for New Year’s Eve as pretty much the whole town wears fancy dress. So far, we have sold almost 500 tickets. They are going like hot cakes.
"Last year’s event was fantastic but there will be more treats in store. Fancy dress is an absolute must as there will be prizes of champagne for the best ones."
The event, held at the Event Centre, will also feature a light-up disco dance floor, a bigger and better sound system, spectacular visuals and lighting effects and new and bigger dance podiums.
The event runs from 9pm to 2am. Tickets are available from www.electric80s.co.uk
