Roni Blunt, from Blunt Events, said: "We are so pleased to add these two fantastic artists to our bill.
"Ric Harris’s blend of jazz and atmospheric blues guitar is sure to thrill and Edana Minghella’s smokey vocals will tug at the heartstrings of the even most hardened cynic, let alone a music-lover’s"
Edana has performed at the Ventnor Jazz Festival and at venues in both the UK and Italy.
She also writes music and was musical director and composer for Cabaret on a Sinking Ship, a musical drama, for Brighton’s Nightingale Theatre.
She will be supported by musicians, including Sarah Bolter, on sax, and Quay Arts director Mick Smith, on keys. London-born Ric Harris specialises in ambient blues which takes its rhythms from reggae/Latin music and its direction from jazz. Ric will appear with his current trio, featuring Ken Black and Brad Martin.
His impressive CV includes sessions for Bobby Womack, as well as producing music for Channel 4’s Dispatches.
He played guitar with London jazz/reggae act Tribesmen and toured the UK and Europe, as well as working with cult London improvisers Intentional Music Ensemble.
Ric is currently in the studio finishing an album of duets with Ken Black. The special guest for the concert and more supporting acts will be announced in coming weeks. Ticket sales are gathering pace, even at this early stage.
Tickets are only available from www.seetickets.com until Monday, and then they will go on sale from a number of outlets.
