Isle of Wight musician Dick Taylor with The Pretty Things at the Wight Rock Bar. Picture by Jennifer Burton.
THE Pretty Things served up a masterclass in classic 60s' R & B on Saturday.
In the intimate surroundings of the Wight Rock Bar, Ryde, the stripped-down threepiece — guitarist Dick Taylor, singer Phil May and guitarist/harmonica player Frank Holland — played a host of favourites to a capacity crowd.
As well as R & B favourites, such as Mona and Rosalyn, there was also time for three songs from S. F. Sorrow, the band's 1968 rock opera.
For full report and pictures, see the Isle of Wight County Press on Friday, February 8.
