Rapping presence for Rob's music club

Too Many T's, who came to the Isle of Wight for the Rob da Bank Music Club.

BESTIVAL favourites Too Many T’s paid a visit to the Isle of Wight last night (Tuesday) for the first Rob da Bank Music Club of 2013.

The Quay Arts hosted event, held on the last Tuesday of every month and run by the Bestival Foundation in conjunction with the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, saw its largest turn out so far with more than 40 teenagers attending.

Too Many T’s, whose debut EP is due for release in the spring, travelled to the Island to present beatboxing and rap workshops.

Ross Standaloft, from the rap duo, said: "I think the club is brilliant, it’s really cool how many people are involved in the workshop.

"Its really cool, I’ve not seen anything like it."

After the event, the pair tweeted: "Truly inspiring evening on the IOW @RobdaBank Music Club! Such a wicked event with some massively talented kids!"

Those who attended were free to roam the centre and pick and choose the workshops — which included singer/songwriters Emmy J Mac and Buddy Carson’s Stand up for Lyricism session — or just relax on the sofas.

The event finished with a showcase by some of the teens, who displayed what they had been working on.

The performances were recorded for an Isle of Wight Radio show that was presented by local teens.
