SPECIAL guests performed with the Island Concert Band at its latest concert, held in aid of Naomi House children’s hospice.
A New Year’s Rhapsody at Medina Theatre featured piano soloist Ann Gardner, who played Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, and composer Clive Malabar, performing Island Flight.
The concert raised more than £200 for Naomi House and it received great feedback from the audience.
"It was a really enjoyable concert all round, helped by Ann and Clive, who were both brilliant and it was nice to raise a little something for Naomi House," said Island Concert Band chairman Rachel Tweddle.

It rehearses on the first Thursday of every month at Newport scout hall.
