Samantha sets her sights on top prize

MUSIC SHE netted more than half the votes to win this year’s Island’s Got Talent competition.

Now Samantha Isaacs hopes to emulate that success in Open Mic UK, a national competition to find Britain’s top singers.

The 22 year old has already progressed through to the regional finals after impressing the judges with her acappella rendition of Pixie Lotte’s Use Somebody.

The next round will be held in Hove, Sussex, on October 27.

Samantha, who lives in East Cowes with her two-year-old son, Riley, struggled to hold back the tears after winning this year’s Island’s Got Talent competition, held at Warner’s Bembridge Coast Hotel in March.

Since then she has been singing at Broadway Park Hotel and Roxy’s Cafe, both in Sandown.

She is now battling for the chance to sing at the O2, London, and one of several cash prizes up for grabs.

Samantha has tickets for the regional finals priced at £8 and can be contacted via Facebook or Twitter.
