Furzehill School's Year 7 basketball team maintained their unbeaten record with an easy 53-26 success over Dame Alice Owens in their penultimate league game of the season.
A win over Onslow will secure the District Championship.
Furzehill dominated the early exchanges and Owens failed to break down a stout defence.
During the remainder of the first half, both teams played scrappy basketball but Furzehill continued to dominate possession and led 30-11 at the interval.
At the beginning of the second period, Owens battled back and began to eat into the lead.
But Furzehill hit back and passed the ball effectively to score a number of successful lay-ups.
Furzehill's success was their fourth in four games. Man-of-the-match was Kenny Froome.
