They’re ace for lifting spirits

The Jive Aces.

MUSIC A MUSICAL prescription to cure the winter blues is promised at Cowes Yacht Haven.

The evening of swing, jive and rock ’n’ roll, next Saturday, February 2, will raise funds for Diabetes Research IW, based at St Mary’s Hospital.

Bill toppers are The Jive Aces, semi-finalists on Britain’s Got Talent 2012.

Their Bring Me Sunshine video became a huge YouTube hit, with two million views and was found so catchy and cheerful by an American doctor he prescribed it for depression.

The Jive Aces are supported by the Lonesome Valley Boys and DJ Simon Moon.

Terry from Terry’s Digital Capture will be taking pictures and there will be Petticoats and Frills cakes and a raffle.

Tickets are £15 in advance or £18 at the door. They are available from Oh So Vintage, Ventnor, Cowes Yacht Haven, Missy J’s Cafe, Ryde, and Dragonfly, Newport.
