Underground house legends coming to big Island event

Terry Francis.

MUSIC TWO legends of underground house music are set to play at Newport Football Club tonight (Friday).

Terry Francis, now at Fabric, London, one of the best underground house clubs in the world, will be appearing at the show, as well as Island favourite Colin Dale, ex-Kiss FM maestro.

Matt D, from promoters Tripudio, who are staging the event, said: "This is by far our most ambitious night yet and we hope it will take some topping.

"It’s a great coup for us to acquire the services of Terry Francis. Terry has been a huge success everywhere he plays all over the world and we are so lucky to have him.

"He’s playing at Fabric the night after Tripudio and jetting off to America six days later, so we really can’t stress enough how fortunate we are."

He added: "Colin Dale is a fundamental cog in all the good things about house and techno. With more than 20 years in the business, it’s always an absolute pleasure to listen to him play live and he is really looking forward to returning to Newport. All here at Tripudio are very excited."
