Yours & Mine.
MUSICA POPULAR Island band is heading to the mainland for a ten-day tour next month.
Yours & Mine features Marc Dyer, 25, (lyricist, vocals and guitar), Nate Webber, 24, (drums and backing vocals) and Jordan Simpkins, 19, (bass and backing vocals).
The 50s and 60s-inspired indie-pop group have gigs booked in Brighton, Coventry, Leicester, Northampton, Bath and Camden Town, North London, between February 9 and February 18.
Jordan, who also works at the King’s Head pub, Yarmouth, explained: "We’ve been across to the mainland before but this is our first major tour.
"We’re really excited about it. We will be acting as support for other bands but we have quite a big following on the Island so a few people may get over to see us in Brighton and, possibly, Southampton if we can organise a gig there, which we hope to do."
Yours & Mine have been played on radio stations as far away as Los Angeles, New Jersey and Mexico City.
Marc and Nate are based in Ryde while Jordan is from Newport and he joined the band following an appeal on Facebook for a bass player.
Jordan added: "We have released an EP with three tracks and we have some more stuff in the pipeline. We are in negotiations with a record company and we’re working on a new single.
"We have been inspired by singers like Buddy Holly, Elvis Costello and the Ronettes.
"The tour is a big chance for us and we’re hoping someone will pick up on us. We’ll have to wait and see."
