MUSICHUNDREDS of the Island's most talented young musicians performed in two days of concerts at the weekend.
The IW Music Centre Spring Concert featured a host of different acts, including the centre's brass and wind band, string and youth orchestras and the IW Youth choir.
Head of music service Phil Chapman said: "The concerts were well attended and well received.
"Many people expressed how far they thought the children had come since September.
"I think the beginner groups showed real stage presence."
Among the bands to perform on Saturday was the youth recorder ensemble, who played the Allegro from Mozart's Toy Symphony.
The IW Youth Orchestra, conducted by Mr Chapman, also tackled Mozart, performing the overture from the Marriage of Figaro.
They also performed the first movement of Beethoven's iconic Symphony No. 5, before showing their more modern influences with a rendition of Abba's Mamma Mia.
On Sunday, the wind band performed songs spanning from Michael Jackson's Bad to Disney blockbusters.
The brass band also demonstrated their versatility with a set including Barry Manilow and War of the Worlds.
The IW Youth Orchestra will be back in action on April 18, when they will perform at The Parish Church of St Boniface, Bonchurch.
