Arsenal Ladies took on Charlton Athletic in the semi final of the London County Cup on Thursday.
The lady Gunners dominated most of the first half, and with the help of the weather, created many chances.
Kirsty Pealling and Ciara Grant came closest in the first half, with strikes going just over the bar.
Both teams came out in the second half with a win in mind. With the weather easing, play became easier.
Arsenal dominated even more, and deservedly scored the only goal of the game. A deep cross from Grant found Fletcher on the edge of the box, who turned brilliantly in between two defenders to volley home.
Arsenal had more chances to increase the lead, but were not clinical on the day.
ARSENAL LADIES: Byrne, Stoney, Pond, Tracey (Ogawa), Pealling, MacDonald (Wheatley), Grant (Asanti), Champ, Fletcher, Maggs, Moore.
