Croydon's town centre is definitely hostile.

One minute I was posting a letter in Taberner House letterbox and the next minute I returned to find my car being lifted on to a lorry with my money in it.

I had no idea where it was going and, having no money, I could not get anywhere by bus or train.

Much later I found out where it had gone and got it back for about £90.

After this incident, I will now do business by post or telephone with Croydon within the tow away zone.

I note from this week's paper that Croydon Council are proposing to stop motorists parking at tram stops to get on trams. Surely this is a vendetta against the motorist.

The cycle tracks are like the emperor's new clothes. There are no cycles, it is wishful thinking.

I see old people waiting an hour for a bus in the freezing cold, I feel like ringing a taxi for them.

I was sent a plan of the one way streets in Croydon centre, it was a maze. I sent back questions and queries but have had no reply.

The trams have now introduced an east-west no-go area for the motorist which, combined with the pedestrianised north-south spine, have made Croydon difficult for a visitor to pass through or to get to where they want to go on the map.

But other than this, everything is fine and dandy.
