THE 15th/10th High Wycombe Cub Pack is settling in at St Birinus. The Cubs meet on Thursday evenings from 6.30-8pm and have a lively programme planned for the session up to Easter with science, nature and weather projects as well as swimming trips and a hike.

Later in the year there will be outdoor activities including district and group camps. The Pack has room for a few more members. If you have a son or daughter aged between eight and 11 years who would like to join the Cubs, ring leader Alec Baker on 01494 439382. He will be pleased to provide further information.

The Pack would also appreciate help from anyone who has a little time to spare, either during the Thursday evening sessions or with administrative tasks. Please ring Alec Baker if you could help out in any way.

SCOUTS are also hoping to meet in St Birinus Church Hall on Thursday evenings in the near future. The group is looking for more members and will soon need to recruit a new group leader. If you would like to join the Scouts, if you could be a group leader or if you could help in any other way please ring Steve Crawshaw on 01494 526631.

HAVE you got odd coins left over from holidays around Europe? They will be valueless by the time you go on holiday again but if you donate them to Christian Aid before the end of February they will go to help the world's poor. You can put them in an envelope marked Christian Aid and drop them into St Birinus' Church office.

BOOKER lost a well-known canine character when Zak died last week. He outlived his master Bill Tilbury by almost exactly two years, spent happily in his old home with Bill's daughter, Elaine.
