PEOPLE on the Isle of Wight are being asked to give their views on potential 20mph restrictions around Newport.
The national 20's Plenty campaign, spearheaded on the Island by Cllr Julie-Jones Evans, says the restriction could improve pedestrian safety and reduce pollution.
Newport Parish Council has launched the survey in a bid to gauge public interest, and it is open to anyone on the Isle of Wight, not just Newport residents.
Cllr Julie Jones-Evans said: "We are gathering information and it's really important to hear the community's views on this.
"We would like the Isle of Wight Council to phase this in around residential areas, schools, and the town centre."
