IT'S set to be an absolute scorcher this weekend, making it perfect to get out and about for Father's Day. 
Catch the Good, the Fab, and the Lovely exhibition at Quarr Abbey this weekend. Lis Toft and Tim England are exhibiting artwork, jewellery, and ceramics in the art gallery from 10am until 4.30pm all weekend.
If you're in the West Wight today (Saturday), head over to the Freshwater Village Fete for live music from Derek Sandy, a barbecue, bouncy castle, raffle, and children's entertainment. The fete will be at Jubilee Field from 12pm until 8pm with proceeds going toward the West Wight Community Centre. 
Shorewell Midsummer Fair returns to Northcourt Manor House for its 56th consecutive year. From 1.30pm today (Saturday) there will be stalls and attractions, a tea tent, a falconry display, dog demonstration, and live music. All proceeds will go towards community groups and organisations.  
The chance to represent the Isle of Wight at Bestival is up for grabs today (Saturday) - thanks to Island's Got Talent. Auditions will take place at Newport Minster between 10am and 4pm and the competition is open to any Islander, with any talent.
Celebrate Armed Forces Day at Ryde Eastern Garden from 11.30am today (Saturday). The band supporting this year's event will be the Portsmouth Royal Marines.

Join MadCap Theatre Productions for a performance of Shakespeare's As You Like It tomorrow (Sunday) at 2pm in the grounds of Ryde School overlooking the Solent. The grounds open at 1pm so bring a picnic and enjoy the weather. 
Do something different this Father's Day and head down to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary for Dads, Donkeys, and Doughnuts day. Dads can enjoy an extended Shetland trek, with one of the sanctuary's mini Shetland ponies followed by a bowl of doughnuts at Dillon's Cafe.
