June 11, 2001 16:39: Penge lads acquired a bit of Brazilian-style footie flair when an expert trainer visited Betts Park.
Mark Hunter, from Canvey Island, Essex, learnt the "futbol desalo" method of play from experts at Leeds United who had visited Brazil to discover the secret of its footballing success.
The method teaches youngsters to dribble small footballs without looking at their feet.
Mr Hunter had been invited by trainer Martin King, 46, of Seymour Villas, Penge, who is starting a youth football team in the area.
Mr King said: "Superstars like Pele and Juninho all learnt their skills from this method, so there must be something in it.
"It was also great fun."
