'NOTHING is off the table' when it comes to making yet more cuts at County Hall, Isle of Wight Councillors have said.

The Isle of Wight Council cabinet member for resources, Cllr Stuart Hutchinson, this week admitted the Conservatives were 'having a really difficult time' trying to cut the authority's budget by £7.5 million during the next financial year.

"Every single line of expenditure is being examined. Every single line of income is being looked at so we can recommend appropriate savings. We are finding that things we would ideally like to do, we will not be able to," he said at Tuesday's scrutiny committee meeting.

"We are looking at everything across the board. We have not exempted any service at all from the potential of cuts."

The council is due to set its budget in February.
