THE Ryde Art Collective are getting in the festive spirit with their 'Xmas Upcycle' exhibition, from Thursday December 7 until Tuesday December 12.

For the exhibition, TRAC members have been challenged to create all manner of artwork using recycled, upcycled and eco materials.

Lead Artist Freya Conway along with second leads Katie Hobbs and Anne Axford have chosen a Scandinavian theme to complement the artwork and have created a carefully coordinated décor to add to the ambience of the gallery. There will be 3D and 2D work including printing, painting, photography, mixed media, ceramics and wood.

The exhibition will be open from 6.30pm to 8pm and is free entry.

The collective are also holding their first ever pop up art sale at Quarr Abbey on December 9 and 10 in conjunction with the main exhibition. Prices vary from £5 to £50.
