POLICE are urging people to look out for a bogus house caller in a green boiler suit who has already struck twice.
In the first incident the man, and an accomplice, targeted a 77-year-old woman in Whitehorse Hill, Chislehurst. The man in the boiler suit said he was from the water board, and went to look under the stairs, telling the woman to stand at the sink.
She reappeared to see the other man holding her handbag. She struggled with him, and was left with minor injuries.
The second burglary took place at Crockenhill Road in St Mary's Cray.
Detective Constable Pete Rance, of the burglary squad at Beckenham, said: "I would urge residents to be vigilant and check the identity of all callers."
Anyone with information should call the burglary squad on 020 8284 8989.
