Neville Staple will be performing this year's V-Dub festival on the Isle of Wight.
SKA LEGEND Neville Staple, formerly of The Specials, will headline this year's V-Dub Island festival.
The Neville Staple Band will top the bill of the Isle of Wight event on Friday night, bringing their bluesy calypso sound to the Volkswagen-themed summer event, organisers announced today (Friday).
They will join Sunday headliners and Bestival favourites The Cuban Brothers.
A V-Dub spokesman said: "If you liked A Message to you Rudy, Ghost Town and The Lunatics (Have Taken Over The Asylum), then you will know we are talking about the genius music of the original bad boy.
"One of the great figureheads of the British ska scene of the late 70s, Neville Staple’s music inspires a fantastic atmosphere at every gig.
"Expect all the hits and more from one of ska's most loved artists."
Now in its third year, V-Dub Island has established itself as a fun, family-friendly event to celebrate everything Volkswagen, with music, entertainment and VW-related activities — including a traditional driveout and a Show and Shine competition — designed for all ages.
The festival will be held at The County Showground, Northwood, from August 15 to 19.
