A TEAM of abseilers has started work to clear rocks from Isle of Wight cliffs.

The team, contracted by the Isle of Wight Council, has been working to clear rocks caught in special netting behind Shanklin Deep Sea Fishing Club.

An Isle of Wight Council spokesman said: "The team will be there for around the next two weeks removing the rocks and also installing new netting and cliff anchors."
