A FLY-on-the-wall documentary series featuring the work of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is set to return to ITV1 tomorrow (Tuesday).

Trauma: Level 1 takes a behind the scenes look at the workings of the specialist trauma centre at University Hospital, Southampton and also has access to the initial rescues by the air ambulance.

The series shows dramatic scenes in the operating theatre and candid interviews with the doctors on the front line of trauma medicine. Episode one was broadcast in August. In the second episode, due to be shown at 10.35pm on Tuesday, the rescue and treatment of a male paraglider, a nine-year-old boy and a 20 year-old woman who has been hit by a car will be featured.
