A CONTROVERSIAL proposal for a new outdoor events venue at Isle of Wight Airport, Sandown, has been grounded by licensing bosses at the Isle of Wight Council.
They threw out plans by Dadina Sagger-Hayward for a drinks and entertainment licence, which would have paved the way for the open-air venue for themed parties and a charity event for youngsters catering for up to 1,000 people.
Councillors refused the proposals saying that Mrs Sagger-Hayward’s proposals had not been properly thought through.
