MP Andrew Turner has a new spring in his step, following his visit to the Isle of Wight’s new indoor trampoline park.

Isle Jump manager Cody Mallett invited the MP to the facility at Spithead Business Centre, Lake, to sample the activities on offer.

Cody said she wanted Mr Turner to see why it had been popular with residents and visitors since opening in December.

She said: "We thought it was important for him to see what we do, to see we've created jobs and how we're giving young people something to keep them off the streets.

"We were really pleased he had a go too."

Mr Turner said he was impressed and wished Isle Jump every success.

"I'm not sure trampolining is something I will be doing on a regular basis but it was great fun to be given the opportunity to have a go at something I haven't done for many years," he said.

Rob Wye was with his ten-year-old daughter when he saw the MP bounce.

"I was filming her have a go, when they cleared the area for him.

"It was quite comical seeing him have a try, but credit to him for doing it in front of everyone.

"Isla loved it, we're definitely going back," said Rob.
