Great news for panto fans there is no need to wait until Christmas for your next fix.

Hartley Players and Hartley Gilbert & Sullivan Society are combining their talents to produce Mother Goose. Half of the profits will be donated to Demelza House Children's Hospice.

The show will have many classic touches which make a traditional panto silly costumes, corny jokes, a fairy, a demon and sweets for the children.

Heather Powell, a long-standing member of the Players and a part of the chorus, said: "It's definitely traditional as opposed to modern. It's not one of these sophisticated pantos."

Mother Goose is the tale of a woman who loses her best friend, her goose, Priscilla. Her son, Billy, and his girlfriend, Jill, help her find Priscilla and defeat the demon. All will be well in the end as long as there are lots of children to help in the quest.

The show has competitions, puzzles and games for the whole family. Ask for details of the colouring competition when booking tickets.
