Appeal for furniture

By Richard Wright

Wednesday, August 8, 2012

A CALL has been issued by the Salvation Army on the Isle of Wight for unwanted furniture.

Staff at the charity shop in Ryde High Street have called on people to donate their unwanted items of small portable furniture to help the shop meet rising demand for affordable second-hand pieces.

Donations could include items such as side tables, nests of tables, coffee tables, bedside cabinets, small chairs and stools.

People can drop off furniture during opening hours (Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm) or those with difficulty can call the shop on 01983 565184 because collection may be possible.
