ISLE of Wight police have made a fresh appeal for witnesses following a fight at a takeaway.

Officers were called to the Dalyan Kebab and Pizza House at Birmingham Road, Cowes, shortly after midnight on Saturday, December 8, following a fight involving six people.

A 23-year-old woman and two men, aged 18 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of affray.

The 24-year-old man was later released with no further action.

The woman and 18-year-old man remain on police bail.

Investigating officer PC Angela Wood said: "Members of the public were in fear of their safety during the fight. One member of the public helped staff in removing some of those fighting from the shop.

"Police would like to thank people who have spoken with the officers already about what happened.

"I am appealing for anyone else who was in the takeaway on Friday night (December 7) or early Saturday morning (December 8) to come forward."

Anyone with information should phone Newport Police Station on 101. Mini-com users can call 01962 875000.

Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
