Appeal to find missing man

Missing Isle of Wight man Simon Foster.

POLICE on the Isle of Wight have issued an appeal to find a Ryde man who was last heard from on September 28.

Simon Foster, 31, is deaf and known to go by the name of 'Herb’ or Herbert to his associates.

Simon’s family told police his disappearance is out of character.

He was described as:


•5ft 8ins tall.

•Dark, slightly receding, hair.

•Slight moustache and 'goaty’ style beard.

•Blue eyes.

•Very distinctive teeth. No lower set and irregular top set.

•A red growth to side of nose and to ear.

•A scar on chin and a very large scar on left leg from hip to knee.

•Usually dressed in smart casual jeans and shirts with rolled up sleeves and a tank top.

A police spokesman said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and would welcome any information from members of the public.

"Equally, we would urge Simon to make contact with us himself, to let us know he’s OK."

Simon, or anyone with information about his whereabouts, has been asked to phone police on 101.
