Appeal to find missing woman

AN APPEAL has been launched to help trace a missing Isle of Wight woman.

Ruth Gwenillian Taylor, 35, of Hannah House, Hunnyhill, Newport, was last seen at The Rex Hotel in Weymouth, on January 6 after booking to stay at the hotel for the weekend.

She is described as white, of large build, with black and blonde shoulder length hair and earrings in both ears and a small tattoo on her shoulder.

She was wearing casual clothing of jogging bottoms and a top.

Ruth has friends in the Weymouth, Bristol and Yeovil area, as well as on the Isle of Wight, according to police.

She also has links in the Tyne and Wear area and visited there prior to the trip to Weymouth, specifically Cullercoats and Newcastle.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Ruth is urged to call 101 from within Hampshire or outside of Hampshire on 0845 045 45 45.

*Police have confirmed Ruth Taylor has been found safe and well in the Newcastle area.
