St Mary's University College, Twickenham, took women's honours in the second of this season's London Colleges League cross-country matches in Richmond Park.

Natalie Coventry led them to victory finishing fifth in 16 min 43 sec, less than a minute behind winner Yvette Hague of Royal Holloway College.

With Lucy Pringle 11th in 18:01 and Lyndsay Fitzgerald 16th in 18:27, St Mary's won with 151 points from hosts Kingston University and Brunel University, who were joint second with 139.

Jo Kelsey once again led the Kingston team in finishing eighth in 17:30. Liz Wotton was 13th in 18:15 and Becky Train 23rd in 20:01.

Louise Trainor led Roehampton Institute to sixth team place.

Medical students Sarah Littlewood and Jo Swallow ran together to finish 18th and 19th in 18:40 and 18:42 to help St George's Hospital to 14th team spot.

St Mary's were just pipped for the Division Two team honours in the men's race by Brunel. They were led home by Kairn Stone and Ulrik Bohnsen who were seventh and eighth in 28:50 and 28:52 sec respectively.
