Challenge & Adventure on the Isle of Wight has appealed for volunteers.
A CHARITY supporting young people on the Isle of Wight has appealed for volunteers.
Challenge & Adventure, which works with teenagers who are struggling at school, home or in the community, said it wanted to hear from anyone who thought they could help.
Phil Wells, from the charity — which runs outdoor activities to build confidence and raise self-esteem — said: "Charitable giving has fallen by 20 per cent in the last year, and we recognise that many people are not able to give even if they'd like to.
"As a small charity an extra pair of hands can be worth more to us than thousands of pounds, so we are seeking volunteers to donate their time, whether it's just an hour helping to re-paint our building, or a day each week helping at our new shop project.
"We're looking for everything from mini-bus drivers to qualified outdoor instructors, shop assistants, craftsmen and women, mechanics, cake bakers and fundraisers. If you have skill that you think might be useful we'd love to hear from you.
"People’s help could make a huge difference to a small charity with big ambitions for young people."
