Arrests after bowls club burglary

FOLLOWING a break in at Newport Bowls Club, six people have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

A spokesman for Isle of Wight Police said that a 14 year-old-girl and four boys aged between 16 and 18 had been arrested. The age and gender of the sixth person was unknown.

The spokesman added that police are continuing to actively look for those responsible for the burglary of the club at Seaclose Park.

The break-in happened sometime between midday on Monday, February 24, and 12.15pm on Wednesday, February 26.
