VISITORS to the Needles Old Battery stepped back in time and got to experience a taste of life in the 1940s.
The social history impression was performed by Harry and Edna who dress in traditional clothing and specialise in the First World War and Second World War home front periods.
They like to mix facts and a little humour into their impressions which proved a popular mix with event organisers and visitors alike. They like to describe their blend of social and military history as edutainment.
Harry and Edna use the name Home Front Friends, as they are often joined by friends who have an equal passion for history.
