Ford United 0

Harlow 2

(Ryman League Division One)

THE Motormen must be sick of the sight of Harlow by now. Every time the Ford United bandwagon begins to hit top speed Ian Allinson's outfit turn up and throw a spanner in the works.

Currently sitting in second, Ford have lost only three times in the league this season, and two of the defeats have been dealt out to them by the Hawks.

It was a free kick on 29 minutes from Gary Kimble that brought the opener. The dead ball from just outside the box struck the Ford wall and fell to the feet of Marc Salmon, whose low shot rifled through a forest of legs and past Keeper Jimmy Chapman.

Playing into the wind in the second half, Harlow continued to look good on the break and it came as no surprise on 67 minutes when they extended their lead.

A short corner saw Kimble and Young exchange pass before the former launched a low cross into the box which was volleyed home by Mervin Abraham to crank up the Hawks promotion chances.
