FIREFIGHTERS returned this morning (Thursday) to check a barn where fire broke out on Tuesday night.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident at Berrycroft Farm, Roud Lane, in Roud, near Godshill at 11.18pm on Tuesday.
Five fire engines were sent to the scene along with the water carrier from Newport, and firefighters used water jets and hose reels to deal with the blaze.
The barn, which is approximately 50m x 20m, also housed some vehicles which were destroyed.
No-one was hurt in the fire, which burned until the next day.
The official 'stop' for the incident did not come until 9.45pm last night (Wednesday).
