UP TO 18 beach huts may have been damaged and broken into at Puckpool.
Isle of Wight police received a report from a member of the public yesterday (Thursday) morning and have informed the Isle of Wight Council, who are telling individual beach hut owners to check their property.
Police have said they are awaiting reports from individual owners and will treat each individual report as a separate case of burglary of a non-dwelling.
Padlocks have been smashed and police said the huts look as though they have been broken into.
The investigation is ongoing and police are appealing for anyone with any information on the incident to contact 101, quoting crime reference number 44170108241.
