A special workshop for youngsters suffering from the traumatic condition Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is proving to be a great success.

Symptoms include an inability to concentrate, fits of frustration and rage, lack of understanding of basic social rules, and inability to accept discipline.

Sufferers, who are usually children, are often very intelligent but may appear to be lagging behind at school.

On Wednesday children suffering from ADD and their parents met at the Memory Lane venue in Tottenham High Road for a creative workshop which included sculpting and painting.

Tracey Thaxton, who organised the workshop, said: "ADD children are often very creative and need something which can absorb them.

"The workshop was great -- the participants got so involved with what they were doing and the standard of their work was amazing.''

More workshops will be held will held over the coming months.
