SUNDAY, March 24 is a date to note, when the Wildlife Bazaar is in the village hall for the afternoon. There will be lots for all to do, look at and buy. The event is a fundraising one for local wildlife conservation.

JON Steel of Oxford Youth Works will be giving the talk on Sunday in Turville Church, the service starts at 6pm. The Oxford Youth Works Group took seven unemployed young people on a working trip to Kenya for three weeks in 2001, travelling, labouring and meeting local people.

ENJOY a Lenten lunch on Saturday in Hambleden Village Hall, between midday and 2pm. The money you donate for your meal will be sent to Christian Aid, for distribution where it is needed.

CAROL Wodehouse is leaving the parish as you will all know. She is to take up a new post as Priest in Charge of Great and Little Hormead, Wyddial, Anstey, Brent Pelham and Meesden. A special group service to wish her well is on March 24 at 10 am in Hambleden Church. Donations towards a leaving present can be sent to David Napier, The Barn, Fawley Court Farm, Henley, made payable to Hambleden valley group of churches.
